The Most Important Rule of Investing

The Most Important Rule of Investing

The Most Important Rule of Investing from Warren Buffett who learned it from his teacher is NEVER LOSE MONEY.

The 2nd rule is always remember Rule #1.

So, when you invest do you lose money?

Emotions seem to be the biggest cause of losing money in investing.

Warren Buffett bought Berkshire Hathaway (a clothing company that went out of business) because he was mad.

I got super excited over high dividends, and when my stock fell, I was too proud to sell.

I thought selling would lock in the loss.

So now I have a stock worth less than half what we invested, that pays half the dividends…and I still haven’t sold it…pride I tell you!

Lack of education is another cause of losing money in investing.

I also didn’t sell my high dividend investments, because I didn’t know what else to invest in.

Now that I’ve been researching index funds and the All Seasons Portfolio, I have a safer place to invest our money.

Lack of practice is another reason people lose money in investing.

I recommend you open a WeBull account and do Paper Trading (it’s trading with fake money), and see how good your really are FIRST before putting real money on the line.
