Secret Island Adventure at Kualoa Ranch
This is Mey Duldulao here and I recently took a staycation and we started at Kualoa Ranch on the All Day Secret Island Adventure.
It was super fun and a great time for myself, my husband Jomel and our 7 year old son Jordan.
We got there at 7:45am to check in.
Kualoa Ranch is a working ranch and nature preserve where they filmed Jurassic Park, 50 First Dates, Lost, and lots of other movies.
We drove out to a pier where we took a boat over an ancient Fish Pond over to Secret Island. Check out the mountains!
When we got to Secret Island, we got our own beach chairs, and then went on the canoe! Jomel did the stand up paddle.
They had a boat that would go out into Kaneohe Bay every hour and go to a spot where you can see sea turtles.
We went out twice!
We saw sea turtles the 2nd time we went out.
We decided not to use our phones and just enjoy the ride. So I have no pictures of sea turtles.
Here’s a view from the boat of China Man’s Hat.
We had so much fun playing with all their beach toys. All of us went out again in a bigger canoe, that was fun!
Then I went out on a Stand Up Board too…it was fun and quite a workout!
Jordan’s favorite activity was playing Ping Pong.
We also played sand bag toss/corn hole and volleyball. It was the first time Jordan ever played ping pong and volleyball. He loved it!
I had a lot of fun, as I haven’t played Volleyball and ping pong in a very long time.
Of course, just being on the beach was also great.
The beach is really long and you can go for a walk along it for quite a ways if you want to.
While Jordan and Jomel were playing Ping Pong I took a stroll and it was beautiful.
The full day adventure includes lunch and we were so hungry when we got it.
It was great and I was happy that they had a vegan gluten free lunch! It was a sandwich, pinapple, chips and a gluten free brownie.
I recommend the full day, as you aren’t in a rush, and can choose what you want to play and play it as much as you want!
