Play Your Life
In this blog post I’m going to teach you how to use the game card in the Cash Flow Game to play your life to financial freedom!
Get your game card and a pencil and begin!
Profession
Fill in your income producing work title. I would write “Investor and Manager”.
Player
Write your name.
Auditor
If you are in Finance Freedom Training LIVE or in the Finance Freedom Mastermind then you can write down my name as your auditor.
Otherwise find a friend or family member to check your work and see if you did it correctly. If you have a financial advisor they could be your auditor.
INCOME STATEMENT
Fill in the blanks on the income statement.
INCOME
Salary – write in how much you make working your profession
Interest/Dividends – fill in how much you make monthly in interest and dividends
Real Estate/Business – on each line write in your property address and the amount of money it brings in minus expenses. It might be positive or negative.
Do the same thing for any businesses that you own. For example, our AirBnB business as of November was positive $300.
EXPENSES
Fill in your monthly expenses.
Passive Income
Write in your total passive income.
Total Income
Write in your total income including passive income.
Total Expenses
Write in your total expenses.
Monthly Cash Flow (PAYCHECK)
Write in in your Total Income – Total Expenses.
BALANCE SHEET
It’s time to fill out your balance sheet. Your assets minus your liabilities is your Net Worth.
ASSETS
Now list any assets you own such as real estate or businesses. Write down the down payments or money that you’ve put into them and the total cost.
For example, our Airbnb business cost was $205,000. We put down $60,000.
LIABILITIES
Now list any debts you owe.
You can put the mortgages you have on your properties here.
If you have credit card debt, school loans, car loans then write in the total amounts that you owe.
You do not write down you car payment here. All payments go under your expenses in the income statement.
WIN THE GAME AND BECOME FINANCIALLY FREE
Congratulations! You’re done filling out the card and now you are playing your life! It’s exciting and scary isn’t it?
You win the game when your Passive Income is equal to or greater than your Total Expenses.
It’s easy to practice this concept by playing the Cash Flow board game with friends and family!
