Lesson I Learned From The Ironman
…have you ever done something you thought was impossible?
…well, I want to share with you my story and my 2011 Ironman finish in Louiseville, Kentucky…
-
…I remember when I thought of doing an Ironman in 2009…
…I was so scared and yet determined to do it…
…I started training and did the different parts in 2010 and early 2011, including my first MARATHON!!!
…I went and joined the most competitive bike team on the island and though I was the slowest, I became faster and faster…
…everyone welcomed me and encouraged me…
…my friends suggested I fundraise the money as I didn’t have enough money to compete…
…so I did, and that terrified me too!
…in the end, the lesson I learned is that if you want something bad enough, even when you think it’s impossible, and long as you work for it and tell others…
…you will find a way and get the support you need…
…to make the impossible a reality…
…and I did it, I finished the Ironman in 16 hours and 12 minutes…
…flew from Honolulu all the way to Louiseville, Kentucky…
…where I didn’t know a single soul!
…and I made my dream come true…
