Dream Vacation at Kahala Hotel and Resort
I just returned from a dream vacation at Kahala Hotel and Resort and wanted to share how we did it and what it was like with you!
I have dreamed of staying at the Kahala Hotel and Resort ever since I first visited and saw the dolphins that reside there.
They have a lagoon with 6 dolphins and they have rooms that overlook the lagoon!
Every time I looked to book the price was too expensive for me.
If you know me, I have a Finance Freedom Mastermind and a Security Analysis Mastermind where we meet weekly and work towards our financial freedom goals.
I went from having over $40,000 of credit card debts in 2011 to becoming debt free in April of 2016.
Then I quit my job in December of 2016 and started coaching clients to do what I did.
So I have been taking steps towards creating more passive income, increasing our Net Worth and putting in place plans for wealth.
That also means that I don’t borrow to pay for things that aren’t assets (that don’t make me money).
Then just before I booked our vacation, I did an exercise recommended by Reverend Michael Bernard Beckwith, and imagined that I was doing, being and having anything I wanted.
I let my imagination run wild.
I then had a series of ideas that led me indirectly to look at the rates at Kahala Hotel and Resort.
I wasn’t planning on staying there last weekend, but when I looked at the rates I realized that the Dolphin Lagoon room was available and we could stay there for 2 nights at $805 total.
It was amazing to me that we could afford it and that it was a time when we were all free to go.
So I called Jomel and booked it the same day we checked in!
My dream had come true, we were staying in a room overlooking dolphin lagoon!
Here is a view from the lanai.
Isn’t it gorgeous?!?
Dolphins swim in the lagoon.
You can stand there and just watch them swim by…sometimes they jump and play too =)
Here’s a picture of my husband Jomel and Jordan looking out at the lagoon.
They have a gym there but I realized that all I wanted to do in the mornings was to hang out on the lanai with the dolphins.
I wake up every morning at 5:15am to meditate.
So when I was at the resort, I woke up, went out on the lanai and meditated with the dolphins!
I could hear them breathing and swimming and it was magical.
I spent at least 4 hours a day out on that lanai, meditating, taking pictures and just enjoying quiet time with the dolphins!
Jordan loved swimming in the pool…and I enjoyed going between the pool, hot tub and the ocean!
On the first evening we went on a date at the Plumeria restaurant in the hotel. My Mom babysat Jordan at the pool!
Here’s Jomel at our table. Nice view huh?
We actually had our wedding party here for lunch after we were married in 2012 =)
Later in the evening we explored the resort, which had rocking chairs!
Here’s a picture of the lobby! Jordan is wearing his pajamas lol.
I booked Jomel a dolphin adventure with Dolphin Quest, and he got to swim and play with them and learn their names.
Here he is getting ready!
It was such an amazing vacation.
I was so excited that my dream of staying at the dolphin lagoon finally came true.
I loved our room, and our lanai.
Dreams do come true!
