A Review of the PSI Basic Seminar
This blog is a review of the PSI Basic Seminar.
I attended the PSI Basic Seminar back in January of 2012 in Honolulu Hawaii, and have since volunteered staffed in March of 2012, May of 2016 and am currently on staff for the upcoming Honolulu Basic Seminar in March 2019.
The seminar lasts 3 days, from a Friday to a Sunday. It’s from 10am to 8pm on those 3 days.
In the seminar you learn over 60 tools and techniques for communicating better with people, creating more effective goals, and also achieving your goals faster.
The seminar is based on teachings from successful people as extraordinary as Thomas Edison and Andrew Carnegie, and focuses on developing people to be more successful. PSI was founded in 1976 and is the oldest running personal development company in the United States.
I heard about the seminar when a friend of mine invited me out to lunch and told me about it.
At the time,I was in still in debt in 2012 and having money issues.
Actually, I remember when I met my friend I actually cried, because when he asked how I’d been, I let him know that I had a negative balance in my checking account that morning and was afraid I was going to lose my job.
He told me the seminar would help with my money issues, if I went in with a goal to improve my money situation. I actually went in with multiple goals, like finding my soul mate and creating financial freedom. However, the seminar helped me narrow down my goal into what they call a SMART goal.
I went with the goal of getting my credit card interest rate down from 16.99% to 5% within 30 days. I ended up getting the credit card to go to 8.99%, they refunded me over $1,000 of interest I had paid above the 8.99% for the past few years.
I got my goal in 3 days, so I decided to make a bigger goal – Find my soulmate and get married by my birthday of that year, and have my first child.
I got my goal again!
I was really busy after that enjoying my results =)
Now I’m volunteer staffing, and every time I do, I learn and grow.
I highly recommend the seminar.
It’s the only one I know that will give you a refund of tuition minus a processing fee if you don’t like it.
It’s also the only one I know that allows you to attend it again and again for free anywhere it is offered in the country.
