A Review of the Cashflow for Kids Board Game

A Review of the Cashflow for Kids Board Game

This is a review of the Cashflow For Kids board game created by Robert Kiyosaki.

I have played the game many times already with my son, who is 6 years old.

You keep track of income with blue triangles (salary) and green circles (passive income).

Expenses are Red squares.

I like the visual way of presenting the numbers.

It helps Jordan practice counting, and also is easy for him to see when his passive income is greater than his expenses.

He is learning how to read the game cards too, which have words like rental house and securities.

He is learning that doodads and credit cards increase his expenses, and he knows that makes it harder to win the game.

He also learns about getting paid on pay day and paying for expenses.

He’s learning how to count change still.

I think the game is very educational not just for him, but for me too as a parent.

It makes me think about passive income, and expenses.

In the game, a house mortgage is a liability that adds an expense.

It’s great to play the game and then reflect on the decisions that I’ve made in my own life.

I highly recommend it!
