The first benefit for me was to have money start working for me. I was raised to believe that I had to work for money.

I started out small and made lots of mistakes but my money is still working for me, and I’m proud to say that my husband and I now have investments and businesses that provide us with passive and portfolio income.

The second benefit for me was creating and enjoying more free time. I used to work over 40 hours a week at a local bank in Hawaii. I was too tired to cook healthy food for myself and my family and too tired to play with my infant son.

Through my work on creating financial freedom, I quit my job when my son was 3 years old. I did this and continued to increase our family’s wealth and lifestyle.

Now I spend quality time with my husband and our now 8 year old son, as well as my mother and our friends and family. We regularly participate in community service projects and enjoy the beautiful nature of Hawaii.

The third benefit was empowering myself, my family and my community. I already mentioned that now I volunteer regularly with my family. In addition to this, I read, research and practice investing and business skills.

After quitting my job I had the time and the energy to pursue learning and I love it. I share my knowledge with readers of my blog and members of Finance Freedom Mastermind. Our results are measured every month with measurements of Cash Flow, Passive Income, Net Worth and our Financial Freedom Accounts.

When I say empowerment, for myself it means having the confidence to handle and grow our money. In the past, I really didn’t understand the financial industry, and handed over money to people with none or little benefit to myself, and a lot of benefit to them.

Now that I understand investments and business better, I am able to eliminate the middle man, keep wealth in our household and grow it faster. This knowledge I teach to my husband and my son, as well as blog readers and clients.

Finance Freedom Mastermind is a program I created when I quit my job. I wanted to teach others who wanted Financial Freedom how to create more freedom in their lives. For me it meant that I could be the mother and wife that I wanted to be. For you it’s going to be different. For all, it is about freedom and choices.

It’s not ok to live in bondage, fear and mediocrity. It is important that you live your life to the fullest, and that you love what you do everyday.
