11 Reasons Mothers Should Be Financially Free
#1 Reason Mothers Should Be Financially Free – Choose to Quit Your Job or Work Less
You can choose to QUIT YOUR JOB or work part time!!!
Do you work in a job you don’t like?
Would you rather be home taking care of your own kids?
Would you like to spend more time with your partner?
When I found a way to make more money leaving my job than staying in it, I quit!
I quit because I had other things I wanted to do more.
One of them was to spend more time with my family and go on more vacations.
Another was to grow our investments, my blog and financial freedom coaching business.
#2 Reason Mothers Should Be Financially Free – Better Health
As a mother, when I quit my job I got healthier.
That’s right. When I quit my job and stayed home, I was healthier.
At my job, I used to get sick once a month or every two months.
Since I quit, I don’t remember the last time I’ve been sick.
#3 Reason Mothers Should Be Financially Free – Sleep!!!
That’s right, since I quit my job, I get way more sleep.
This is probably why I’m healthier.
Another benefit is that I get to be with my son and husband fully rested.
So I’m in a good mood, ready to play, and support them!
#4 Reason Mothers Should Be Financially Free – More Time for Self Care
Now that I don’t work a job, and stay at home, I see an orthodontist every month to straighten my teeth.
I also see a chiropractor regularly which is healing my back and allowing me to run and exercise again.
I’m also going to my dental appointments, physical check ups, getting my blood work done, etc.
I am taking better care of myself!
#5 Reason Mothers Should Be Financially Free – More Quality Mother Time
Before I quit my job, I was leaving the house sometimes before my son woke up.
When I got home he wanted to play but I was often times too tired.
Now that I don’t have to work anymore, I start out my day with him.
I take him to the playground or the beach (and now to school). I nap with him.
I teach him how to cook and wash the dishes.
I read to him at night.
I get to be a Mom!!!
#6 Reason Mothers Should Be Financially Free – More and Longer VACATIONS
When I worked my job, I went on at most 2 weeks a year of vacation.
It’s a lot easier to go on vacations when you don’t have to ask a boss for permission!!!
When I quit my job, I got to spend all of Christmas to the New Year with my family, and my Dad who was visiting from Taiwan.
We got to go on a MONTH of vacation in 2017, including my first cruise to the Mexican Riviera, visiting relatives on the East Coast and showing Jordan Niagara Falls!!!
#7 Reason Mothers Should Be Financially Free – More Time With Parents
I mentioned that I got to spend more time with my Dad when he visited yes?
Well, we just bought a condo upstairs and my Mom is managing our AirBnB business (Click here to book our condo for your next Hawaii vacation).
I get to create investments where I employ and work together with my Mom!
She’s happy because she’s earning money and she loves it!!!
#8 Reason Mothers Should Be Financially Free – Healthier Family
Remember how quitting my job made me healthier?
Well, our son Jordan got healthier when I pulled him out of pre-school in August of 2017. He was getting sick every month for 4 straight months. He was on antibiotics every other month and Jomel and I would constantly argue over whether he needed asthma medication.
I kept him home with me for a year. He only had 2 colds that each lasted only 2 days. He didn’t have to take any medicine at all. We never even think about him having asthma anymore, now he’s just healthy pretty much all the time!
My husband and Mom got healthier since they aren’t catching our colds anymore.
We saved $600/mo in medical bills alone.
#9 Reason Mothers Should Be Financially Free – Money Matters to a Mother
I feel more secure knowing that I make passive income, that I invest, and that we have our money situation improving year after year.
It gives me confidence and also gives me strength.
If I didn’t work towards financial freedom, I don’t know if I would have left the work force.
I feel good that I know how to invest money.
#10 Reason Mothers Should Be Financially Free – More Relaxation & Less Stress
I definitely have less stress now that I don’t work for a boss anymore.
I still strive towards goals, and the marketplace tells me how I’m doing…no more being micro managed!
I did learn a lot when I had good bosses, but it’s nice to take what I learned and now be my own boss (or co-boss with my husband).
I also do morning meditations, read books and have more massages.
I take Sundays off from being a Mom and my investment and coaching. That means I go to church, Jomel has Jordan during the day, and I go on a date night with my husband in the evening! It’s wonderful!!!
#11 Reason Mothers Should Be Financially Free – Quality Time With Significant Other
I have more time to spend with my husband Jomel, giving us an awesome marriage!!!
I plan our longer vacations.
We go on a date night every week!
We watch movies together in the evenings.
We enjoy creating our freedom together!
Conclusion
I think being Financially Free makes Mothers happier, healthier, more present, more fun and more fulfilled.
I say this because when I worked less for money, and quit my job, and started focusing on being a Mom, Investor and Business Owner, I loved it.
My life got so much better!!!

In April of 2016, I became debt free and had a monthly passive income stream. I quit my job on December 23, 2016, and started doing my dream work of mentoring others on what I did to create the freedom to quit my job.
In 2017 we bought our first condo in Waikiki, and we went on 5 weeks of vacation (including a 7 day cruise to the Mexican Riviera)!!!
In 2018 we bought our first investment property!
I spend most of my time doing what I dreamed of for years, spending my days with my son Jordan and my husband Jomel, enjoying motherhood and being a wife. I also enjoy researching Financial Freedom and sharing what I learn with my clients and on my blog.
