Water “Wai” and Wealth “Wai Wai” – What is Wealth?

Water “Wai” and Wealth “Wai Wai” – What is Wealth?

…Mey here writing a blog inspired from our family visit to Dole Plantation yesterday on Water “Wai” and Wealth “Wai Wai” – What is Wealth?

…we were touring the beautiful gardens and learned that the Hawaiian word for fresh water is “wai” and the word for wealth is “wai wai”

…fresh water means a lot to Hawaiians because if you found a source, then you could live…

…you could grow plants, drink water, etc…

…when I think about becoming financially free, I sometimes think that I want to become wealthy…

…the thing is I already am wealthy…

…afterall, I do have fresh water to drink yes?

…water is so important and I take it for granted a lot…

…I’m not saying not to have the finer things in life, however, this is a way was a great reminder to be grateful for all that we have…

…because fresh water is so important for all life!

…what is wealth to you?

…is it the air that we breath?

…is it your family?

…is it the food that you can put on your table?

…are you taking the wealth that you already have for granted too?

  1. Such a great episode, message and lesson Mey! As human beings , we all tend to take the simplest of things for granted and that’s a shame. The great news is that we have blog posts like yours that serve as excellent reminders when we get off track. Time to be aware and count our blessings in all things. Very blessed indeed. Thanks so much for sharing! 🙂

    1. Thank you Brian and Felicia, I really appreciate your comment. We are blessed and wealth is everywhere isn’t it? =)

  2. Fresh water is one of the most important in our life and being able to drink fresh and clear water is true wealth.

Hawaiians are Wise people and they know what is true wealth 🙂

For me also wealth is being healthy because healthy people have a lot of dreams and unhealthy people only one…

OH and when we talk about Hawaiians there is a great book Zero Limits which was co-written by Hawaian 🙂

    1. Thanks for the comment Michael, yes, it is true that Fresh Water is Wealth and the Hawaiians are a wise people. I like your point on Health also being Wealth and it’s relation to dreams…though the Make A Wish Foundation shows that kids who are unhealthy still have more than one dream. I will check out this book Zero Limits. Thanks for suggesting it.
