Do Women Marry For Money?

Do Women Marry For Money?

This is not a trick question…

I’m serious, women, if you are reading this and you are married, did you marry for money?

…and if you’re not married, are you looking for a guy to marry who has money?

Men – are you working to make lots of money so you can afford to marry the woman of your dreams?

…do you think women care about money?

…well, most of us have a lot of feelings about this subject!

AND it’s good to get these feelings out in the open, because we all want money…I mean…we all want happy marriages right?

MONEY OR LOVE

I think I personally had a lot of confusion about this topic when I was younger because I always thought in terms of OR…

…it’s love or money…

…well, if I asked that question all the time, of course I chose money…

…thinking that it meant having no money…

…that was me being simple minded and boy did it take me a while to finally realize that dating guys without money is a real drag!

WHY?

…because you have to pay for everything!

…and as a girl, I just like to be pampered…

…now I’m not going to say all girls are the same, this is my opinion…

MONEY AND LOVE

Finally I got struck by the blows of too many failed relationships and some sense got knocked into me and realized I could have both MONEY and LOVE…

…and now I do…

…AND IT’S SO GREAT!!!

…I’m the first to jump up and say that I married for both money and love!

…because I wanted to have both =)

…and why not?

Men like making lots of money, they enjoy buying what they like and having that power…

…and as a woman a powerful man is sexy…

…and it’s nice to take your lady out on the town…

…it’s nice to have money!

…I’m not saying that I don’t have my own money…

…I’m saying I like my man having money…

don’t you like having money?

Conclusion

So, in answer to the question, do women marry for money? I say YES, and they marry for LOVE and so many other things…

…and it’s a great thing too…

…because money is wonderful to have and to use to grow a beautiful loving relationship…

What Does Loving Our Family Have To Do With Money

…Mey here on Saturday evening, just put my son to bed and we have a little heating pad to keep him warm, blogging about What Does Loving Our Family Have To Do With Money

…this post was actually originally written by me on http://www.candoitblog.com/what-does-loving-our-family-have-to-do-with-money/

…I’ve edited it to make it more timely…

I have an important question and perhaps one of the most important questions that I have ever asked…

What does loving our family have to do with money?

…what does seeing my son sleep and breathe easily while sleeping on his heating pad him have to do with our income?

…EVERYTHING…

…Huh?…

….What do you mean EVERYTHING?…

…healthy sleeping 2 year old and money?

…I’m telling you that for our family it means EVERYTHING…

…and for anyone else who highly values their family, it means EVERYTHING…

…I can only speak for my family, so read this and see if it makes sense for you…

…this is Mey writing on behalf of the family and I will say that Jomel and I recently went through a process that revealed to us that our highest value is family…

…we will spend time and money and thoughts and any other resources that we have to be with our family…

…that is how we get value in our lives…

…if you are like us, and highly value family, then you will relate to what I am saying…

…money is important to us because it helps us have more time with our family…

…money helps us pay for healthy food, school, toys, books, medicine and doctor visits…

…money helped us pay for the heating pad that our son is sleeping on as I write this post…

…and today I’m writing to let you know that you can become financially free if you have a family…

…in fact, if you tap into that love for your family…

…if you then extend your family out past your immediate family, and into the entire world, you will find the power that you need and you will realize the importance of you having the financial strength to care about those who you love…

…and it’s going to be a way that still gives you the time you want with your family, that still gives you the energy to play with your kids, and it’s going to be a way that still lets you have romantic time with your spouse…

…understanding what we value the most frees us and give us strength, courage and vision…

…stay with me, on this blog, and you will find your way…

…blessings to you and your family on this beautiful windy night…

P.S. Please leave me a note on what you highly value in your life!

…and if you like reading this blog, know that I like writing it…

…I want you to tap into your inner power and be free…

…and I help you and many others by blogging…

…if you have a talent, a love, or something of value you want to share with others…

…I highly suggest blogging about it…

…it will get your value out to the world, and help you make money at the same time…

Discovering Your Destiny and Getting Paid For It

…Mey here on a Wednesday night blogging while my son is watching Curious George (that monkey is so cute!) on Amazon Prime) about Discovering Your Destiny and Getting Paid For It…

…wouldn’t it be wonderful to work and feel like we are on vacation because we love what we do so much?

…if you don’t feel that way about what you do during your day, then you have to read on and find the 4 crucial steps that will change your life forever…

…this post is inspired by the book The Values Factor: The Secret to Creating an Inspired and Fulfilling Life which talks about the 4 steps below…

Step 1 Write Down Everything You Love To Do

…take some time and write down what you love to do, all day long, and are more energized after doing it…

…don’t worry about how you will make money doing it…

…just write down everything you love to do!

Step 2 Write Down How You Could Make Money Doing What You Love

…now take what you wrote down and think of ways that you could get paid doing what you love…

…if you like playing with children, then maybe you can run a daycare…

…or if you like to watch football games…

…then maybe you can start a fantasy football league…

…or a blog about football…

…brainstorm whatever you can think of…

Step 3 Envision Yourself Doing What You Love

…you may love doing something but not all day…

…maybe you only like playing with your kids after work…

…and wouldn’t want to be with them all day…

…so envision the five top ideas that you have…

…and see if you really would like to do that all day…

Step 4 Decide The 7 Highest Priority Next Steps To Start Your New Career

…once you find the most inspiring task…

…then write down the 7 highest priority next steps to make your dream job come true…

…if you aren’t inspired next…

…then do the 4 steps again!

I love blogging about personal growth and financial freedom…

…I actually did this exercise with a friend and coach who is a millionaire real estate investor…

…I found out that I love to talk to my friends about personal growth, reading and writing…

…and so we brainstormed with a group of friends and came up with the idea of blogging…

…and that’s when I started this blogging business…

Personal Story About Money, Love and Adventure

…Mey here blogging very late on a Saturday night, after my 2 year old son has finally gone to sleep, my husband was sick so not able to watch him today so that I could blog earlier, here I am finally ready to share with you a Personal Story About Money, Love and Adventure…

…I have a taste for adventure, and recently for money

…let me start from the beginning…

…I went off to Taiwan after graduating from College…

…wanted to learn kung fu and Chinese…

…my father lived there and I stayed with him for a little bit until I settled into life in Taipei…

…what a grand adventure that was!

…I had an “interesting” time with a Korean playboy where I learned about the difference between love and longing…

…and had many adventures in the kindergarten that I taught in to pay for my school and living…

…I tutored very rich people, and traveled all over Taipei…

…always had a swim suit ready when we went hiking in the mountains…

…I remember one of my classmates was studying Chinese art in the Museum, and she only slept 1-2 hours every night…

…she couldn’t sleep any longer than that…

…then off I went to Tainan, to go to another language school and explore the south of Taiwan (and get away from the Korean playboy)…

…it was a cultural center, where I found my kung fu teacher and team…

…began learning how to unleash my power in the Cultural heart of Taiwan…

…taught in a Women’s College, 6 classes with about 50 students in each class!

…biked everywhere, all over…

…was there when we had the earthquake of 9/21…

…after a year I tested into the Master’s degree program at a University in Chia Yi (actually, outside of Chia Yi in tiny Min Hsung)…

…rural, pineapple fields and mango trees, a night market outside on the field every night where the University would eat their dinner…

…still practiced kung fu and became an older kung fu sister…

…would train everyday for 3-4 hours…

…fell in love and 3 years later graduated and got into the University of Hawaii at Manoa PhD program…

…was there 3 years and then one day almost got hit by a pick up truck crossing the street…

…the near death experience triggered a change in me…

…I stopped…

…have you ever just stopped in  your life?

…and just looked and realized you didn’t like where you were…

…and that if life is so precious and short…

…then something was going to have to change?

…everything changed after that moment…

…I broke up with my long distance Taiwan boyfriend of 5 years and dated someone who would help me do all the things that I most feared…

…get kicked out of school…

…get into debt…

…go to court…

…get evicted…

…luckily I did get a good job at the bank where I still work today…

…that job was a miracle in my life…

…and I got away from the boyfriend and moved in with a loving family…

…I eventually found my soulmate Jomel, and we got married 5 months after we met on E-Harmony…

…he is also an adventurer, and a fire knife dancer (very hot!)…

…and we had our son one year later…

…my adventures taught me about love, and money and most of all, humility…

…I learned that I really don’t know what I am doing…

…and it is ok now to admit it and just enjoy the life that I am living…

…everyday is an adventure, everyday is full of love

…what a miraculous life we have…

…when I hold my 2 year old son as he’s sleeping, and go shopping for Christmas gifts for my loving husband with my caring Mom…

…I realize I live in heaven…

…financial freedom is very important, and yet, if I hadn’t learned what a precious thing life is, I would never understand how to teach it or even speak to you…

…my reader…

…you are the only one that really matters in this story…

…are you happy in your life?

…do you understand how precious you really are?

…it doesn’t matter how many mistakes you have made…

…doesn’t matter where you are right now…

…you are important, valuable and loved

…I hope you realize that!

Tell us about your adventures in the comments!

P.S. I blog because I love it…I realize that it isn’t for everyone (Jomel does not like to blog)…

Love a Homeless Guy? Does Money Matter in Love Part 2

…Mey here on a beautiful Monday evening with my mastermind buddies Candice and Sheena blogging about a topic I blogged about before, Love a Homeless Guy? Does Money Matter in Love Part 2…

…so, if you didn’t hear the story already, my roommate started dating a homeless gentleman, and he was staying with us almost every night when the car he lived in broke down…

…and we had a big dilemma as the room we were renting is only for one person, and we didn’t really like the idea of a perfectly healthy and able young man mooching off of our roommate and us…

…so, the continuation…

…our roommate is moving out!

…her homeless boyfriend has decided that love was so important to him that he got his act together and rented an apartment for them to share!

…so love does have a happy ending…

…and it does show that for love, most women want to man to be able to take care of his own personal needs like having a home…

…what are your thoughts?

…would you date a homeless person?

…does it matter if it’s a homeless man or a homeless woman?

…tell us what you think in the comments below!

P.S. I blog about what I love, which is financial freedom…AND I make money doing it..

Dating a Homeless Man – Does Money Matter?

…this is Mey here on a beautiful Sunday evening blogging about Dating a Homeless Man – Does Money Matter?

…the topic is inspired by my roommate, who is dating a homeless man…

…personally, she can date whoever she wants, however, since she is sharing our home with our family, it has now become our issue…

…you see, he’s homeless and his car recently broke down and now he’s staying at our house almost every night, and he is not welcome in our house…

…the reason he is not welcome is because we are at capacity and don’t allow more than one person in the room that we are renting out…

…and we are actually on a lease, and not allowed to rent that room to more than one person…

…this seems to be a pretty big money issue…

…because if he spent money on his own place, he could have her move in with him, or they could find a place together and move out…

…so money is definitely an issue in their relationship…

…because it’s affecting where our roommate can live…

…we will probably have to give her notice to move out because we have 2 people living in the room instead of 1…

…personally, I think any self respecting man is going to make money so that he can support himself and the ones he loves, and if he’s not doing that, I personally would not date him or associate with him…

…what are your thoughts?

…do you think money matters in love?

…how much?

He asked me “Which is more important Love or Money?” – How would you answer?

…Mey here in Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on the corner by Diamond Head Grill in beautiful Honolulu HI, blogging about He asked me “Which is more important Love or Money?” – How would you answer?

…it was actually a question sent to me by someone on E-Harmony who was interested in getting to know me better…

…I answered that I though they were equally important…

…and he had to talk to me after that because he was apalled…

…”how can you not say that love is more important than money?” he said!

…”how can you compare the two like that!?! They are both important!” I said….

…what would you have said?

Children and Financial Freedom

…this is Mey here on a beautiful and cool Thursday evening, after a massive rainfall during the day, talking about Children and Financial Freedom

…by far one of the biggest MOTIVATORS for people to get life insurance, save money, buy a house, get a stable job and do things that drastically improve their money and wealth is when they have children…

…suddenly, it isn’t just you anymore, now you have to care for this cute little bundle of joy that you love more than your own life…

…and priorities shift…

…I know a lot of successful internet marketers, Lawrence Tam, Rhonda Swan, Sarita, Laura Parish and even the big Dave Wood himself, who find great power, money and financial freedom because they love their children and their families so much!

…for many of the internet marketers I know, the money they’ve made have given them the financial means necessary to start having children…Tracy Walker, Justin and Dee Verengia, Toby and Layla Black…

…children bring out the best in us…

…and motivate us to be more creative, to think outside of the box…

…to create financial freedom so that we have money AND time to spend with our children…

…and what a joy it is!

…I’ll tell you a little bit of my story…

…I was looking for a way to live a better quality of life and reading books, attending seminars and what I noticed is that every successful person said the best moment of their lives was when their children were born…

…I realized that if so many successful people felt that this was the most important moment of their lives, then having children is the highest goal…

…plus, I enjoyed playing with kids!

…so I got on a quest to make a family…

…I found my husband Jomel on E-Harmony and he moved to Honolulu from LA in 2012 to marry me, and we had our son Jordan the following year…
Jomel and Mey Wedding Toast

…and I have to admit, having Jordan has been wonderful!

…the most precious moments are time spend loving our family…

Our Son Jordan Duldulao

…I’m do grateful to have our son in our lives, and how I am motivated to thing bigger, play bigger and just be an inspiration, so that my son can see me and learn from his Mommy…

…and I share my world with him, laugh with him, love him…

…and the joys of our lives amaze me!

…What about you? Do you have children? Do they motivate you to financial freedom?

Three Key Lessons I Learned That Keep Me Very Happily Married

…one of the biggest changes in my life was marrying my soul mate Jomel…

…I’ve learned a lot of lessons from being married…

…let me share with you the three key lessons that keep us happily together in love…

…being married to Jomel taught me to trust my intuition and to have faith…

…we had met through E-Harmony and had a long distance relationship for a few months in the beginning…

…when he moved over we planned our wedding and got married after knowing each other for about 6 months…

…some said it was very fast and to me, I knew it was right because I took the time to meditate and ask myself if he was my soulmate…

…the answer was yes so I decided to marry him when he asked the second time…

…I trusted my intuition…

…and in the beginning when sometimes things got rocky because we had disagreements, I had faith in him and in us and remained trusting of my intuition…

…and all things worked out…

…being trusting of my intution and having faith in my spouse was the the biggest lesson I learned…

…the second biggest lesson was to always take responsibility for my feelings…

…sometimes I’m busy with work, and blogging and the baby and I think that Jomel should do this or that…

…and when he doesn’t I get frustrated…

…well, that frustration usually doesn’t last because I’m quick to realize that it is me with the issue…

…if I’m frustrated then I’m not getting enough sleep, or taking on too much work, not scheduling play time, not properly asking for help…

…whatever it is, I know that I am responsible for my feelings…

…and blaming it on anyone else is avoiding the issue and making things worse…

…I would rather keep a happy household so I choose to take time outs and manage my feelings…

…in turn, when others in my household are having a bad day, I let them also have the time to themselves to manage their feelings…

…the third greatest lesson I learned in marriage that has helped the other two is to always practice gratitude…

…on a daily basis I say thank you and I love you to Jomel…

…to me it’s like watering flowers, love is something I can give out everyday and it makes us both stronger…

…as long as I consciously practice gratitude everyday, it is easy to feel love for Jomel…

…and I love expressing it and enjoying my time with him because it is so precious!
