Financial Freedom Myths and Legends

Mey here on a cool Thursday morning bringing to you Financial freedom myths and legends…

…I think I’m still waking up and I have the entire Universe of stories still alive in my head…

…I even did my kungfu warmup this morning, which I haven’t done in years…

…so sit back and enjoy…

The Legend of Midas

…I’m sure you’ve heard of Midas…

…the man who wanted to be wealthy so much that he wanted everything he touched to turn to gold…

…and it finally happened that one day he really could touch everything and it would turn into gold…

…and yet the day that he touched his daughter and she turned to gold was the most tragic day of his life…

…a gold statue of his daughter could not replace her warmth, love and life…

…and he realized that his obsession with gold had cost him the one thing he loved most…

…and so it was the lesson learned that obsession and the love of money to the exclusion of all else brings tragedy…

…remembering why we are alive, what we truly value and actually doing what we love is true wealth…a

The Man With No Clothes

…there was a man who wanted to have the best and nicest clothes for a parade through town…

…he had many tailors come and did not like anything that they brought him until one special tailor arrived and dressed him in the most magnificent imaginary clothes…

…here is the shirt your majesty, woven out of fine silk and gold…

…and the pants were imported from India and blessed in a temple there for all of the Gods to witness…

…and on and on the flourishment about the imaginary clothes…

…the emperor was so impressed by the words of the tailor and the origin of each piece that he gladly wore them, to the approval of his court, and went out in the parade wearing his imaginary clothes…

…everyone cheered the king for fear if they didn’t they would be hanged…

…everyone except one little boy who said “Why is the emperor wearing no clothes?”…

…in the mind we can fashion stories of how we want reality to be…

…however the truth is the only thing that can set you free from delusions and fantasies…

…and no matter how hard you craft your dream world, the truth can be found easily through the pure and innocent eyes of a child…
